Navgraha Shanti Puja
Why Perform Navgraha Shanti Puja?
In traditional North Indian households, performing Navgraha Shanti Puja with proper Vedic Sankalp and devotion brings families together in gratitude and spiritual harmony.
Honours all nine planetary deities (Adhidevata and Pratyadhidevata) with authentic Vedic mantras
Uses genuine Navadhanya (9 grains) and Nav-Samidha (9 sacred woods) as prescribed in Shastras
Customised focus on your specific birth chart (Janma Kundali) Mahadasha or Sade Sati transit
Promotes mental calm, clarity, and harmonious family relationships
How Navgraha Shanti Puja is Conducted in Bangalore Homes
Every major Vedic ritual begins with invoking the Navgrahas, yet a dedicated Navgraha Shanti Puja & Havan goes much deeper. When a family member is going through a challenging planetary Mahadasha, Antardasha, Shani Sade Sati, Dhaiya, or Mangal/Rahu-Ketu transit, performing Navgraha Shanti brings spiritual composure, patience, and positive focus.
Pt. Rahul Shastri Ji constructs the traditional colour-coded Navgraha Mandal using the nine sacred grains (Navadhanya)—wheat for Surya, rice for Chandra, red toor/masoor for Mangal, green moong for Budh, chana dal for Guru, white beans (rajma/lobia) for Shukra, black sesame for Shani, black urad for Rahu, and horse gram (kulthi) for Ketu.
The highlight of the ceremony is the Navgraha Havan using the nine specific sacred woods (Nav-Samidha: Ark, Palash, Khadir, Apamarga, Peepal, Udumbara, Shami, Durva, and Kusha) alongside Vedic Vyas-ukta and Tantrokta Navgraha mantras.
Shubh Muhurat & Auspicious Timings
Can be performed on any auspicious day, or specifically on the weekday ruled by the primary planet of your current Mahadasha (e.g., Saturdays for Shani/Rahu, Tuesdays for Mangal, Thursdays for Brihaspati) during morning hours.
